The Castle of Santa Severa adheres to the European Night of Museums 2018: a white night of art and beauty

Saturday, May 19, 2018 the art at the Castle of Santa Severa remains lit up at 2 am by adhering to the new edition of “The Night of Museums”, promoted by Mibact, and realized in collaboration with Regione Lazio, LAZIOcrea, Santa Marinella Municipality and Coopculture.

The event, which will take place simultaneously in 30 European countries, this year also involves the monumental complex of the Castle of Santa Severa from 20.00 until 2 am (last admission 01.00) offering visitors the new museum spaces, the innovation lab with virtual reality and augmented reality and creating for visitors an extraordinary festival dedicated to art and culture, with a symbolic entrance fee of 1 euro. For those who want to take a guided tour, there is the Medieval Route, to discover the village, starting from the Courtyard of the Guard and Barrozze to reach the Church of the Assumption, continuing with a visit to the Baptistery, the Piazza della Rocca, the Casa della Legnaia, at the Scavi Paleochristian Church, the Casa del Nostromo up to the Rocca Museum, scheduled for two events, at 8.30 pm and 10.30 pm, at a cost of 6 euros.

 

The Antiquarium of Pyrgi, in collaboration with the Società Artemide Guide, will offer visitors a path in which they will tell and illustrate the finds exhibited in the Antiquarium of Pyrgi, in particular by reconstructing the link between divinity and cults in the ancient Pyrgi.
