Record-breaking 2025 edition for “The Magic of Christmas”

Record-breaking 2025 edition for “The Magic of Christmas” in Santa Severa, coming at the end of an extraordinary year for the Castle. From ’8 December to 6 January, despite the adverse weather conditions that have severely penalised the last few days, the Christmas event traditionally promoted by the Lazio Region and organised by LAZIOCrea inside the fortress overlooking the sea recorded 40,000 attendees, confirming itself as one of the most anticipated and attended events of the winter planning of central Italy, by virtue of its ability to offer families and visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in a magical and joyful atmosphere for free.

This was, among other things, a result that fits into an extremely positive overall picture for the village: 2025 was a record-breaking year, confirming the Castle of Santa Severa as one of the most attractive cultural and tourist hubs in Lazio.

The year just ended saw the arrival of approximately 230,000 people, rewarding a complex and continuous program capable of attracting diverse audiences throughout the 12 months.

In detail, the ordinary planning of the monumental complex welcomed around 110,000 visitors, including the Museums and the Hostel’s customers. These were joined by the 80,000 spectators of the summer season, which in July and August offered a program of cultural shows and initiatives for all tastes and ages. Closing out the year to be framed were the 40,000 guests of the recently concluded Christmas event.
